My name is Ankush Verma and I have a longstanding relationship with music. Beginning from age 7, I began with Mrdhanga (a type of indian drum), yet as I saw others around me play the same instrument the same way, I stopped playing it all together. I strive to be different. At age 10, I got this chance when I signed up for guitar classes. No person in my family knew the guitar, so I knew was in for a treat. It helped me relieve so much stress until I was told to play at my temple with the Mrdhanga players. I decided to stop it all together, leading me down a path where music was forgotten altogether for a span of 5 years. My subtle exile ended the minute I hit high school, the minute I wanted to change myself for the better.
